# status

`inc` and `incodex` are interchangeable for this command and all its flags.

```bash
incodex status [--json]
```

Read-only. On macOS, reports app presence, loader, install identity, and selected versus bundled Runtime. On Windows, discovers the current user's official Store package and reports integration evidence. Use doctor for deeper checks.

## Flags

| Flag | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| `--json` | Machine-readable output. |
| `--app <path>` | macOS only: inspect a specific app. |
