inc and incodex are the same native CLI. Run inc in a terminal for the menu. Every command supports --help / -h. Use --version / -V (or version) for version information; help opens root help.
All subcommands and flags work with either name: inc open --dry-run is equivalent to incodex open --dry-run. This reference uses incodex in general examples and inc update for stable updates. Neither name selects a different feature set.
| Command | Purpose |
|---|---|
| install | Enable app integration. |
| uninstall | Remove app integration. |
| status | Inspect installation and Runtime selection. |
| doctor | Diagnose the app and Incodex-owned state. |
| accessibility | Resume ChatGPT permission setup on macOS. |
| runtime | Publish this CLI’s bundled Runtime. |
| recover | Roll back an interrupted macOS transaction. |
| open | Open a private window without patching the app. |
| update | Update using the installation channel. |
| self-uninstall | Remove a supported managed CLI installation. |
Confirmation and previews
Mutating install, uninstall, update, and supported self-uninstall paths print a plan and ask once in a terminal. Without a terminal, confirmed mutations require --yes; --dry-run / -n prints the plan instead. Runtime publication and open have their own preview modes. Recover requires an exact transaction and does not accept –dry-run.
macOS-specific --app, --clone, --deep, accessibility, and recover are marked on their pages. The documented flags describe public behavior, not every parser compatibility alias.
