Changelog

  1. macOS inc alias installation: Fix update-recovery helper registration when installing through the inc symlink. If an earlier install reported that automatic recovery was unavailable because the helper source was not a regular file, run incodex install again; inc update alone does not create that missing registration.
  2. Cold-start permission snapshots: Installation waits for a complete host process identity before requesting Screen Recording status. An absent or incomplete host does not end the probe early, and unknown never becomes a grant.
  3. Restored-app Screen Recording: The restored official app may not expose Incodex’s Screen Recording probe. After a confirmed drop into System Settings, the guide retracts the helper instead of waiting forever for that missing probe. The guide finishes once Accessibility is genuinely granted. Screen Recording stays unverified: check its entry in System Settings; a drop does not prove or grant access.
  4. Updating: Managed installations use inc update to update the CLI and publish its bundled Runtime. It does not patch or re-sign Codex. Source checkouts use git pull, cargo install --locked --path crates/incodex-cli, and incodex runtime. Run incodex install separately when app integration must be installed or refreshed.
